This is the default selection mode for text documents. With the keyboard, selections can be performed by <emph>Shift</emph>+navigation key (<item type="keycode">arrows, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down</item>). With the mouse, click in the text where the selection is to start, hold the left mouse button and move to the end of the selection. Release the mouse key to end selection.

When a form is selected, it opens the <link href="text/shared/02/01170300.xhp"><emph>Tab Order</emph></link> dialog, where the indices for focusing the control elements on the Tab key are defined.
Wanneer u een formulier selecteert, wordt het dialoogvenster <link href="text/shared/02/01170300.xhp"><emph>Tabvolgorde</emph></link> geopend, waarin de indicesexen voor verplaatsing van de focus door besturingselementen via de Tabtoets zijn gedefinieerd.

When creating a form, an index is automatically assigned to the control fields that are added to this form; every control field added is assigned an index increased by <emph>1</emph>. If you change the index of a control, the indices of the other controls are updated automatically. Elements that cannot be focused ("Tabstop = No") are also assigned a value. However, these controls are skipped when using the <emph>Tab</emph> key.
Bij het maken van een formulier wordt automatisch een index toegewezen aan de velden van de besturingselementen; elk toegevoegd veld van de besturingselementen wordt voorzien van een index, verhoogd met <emph>1</emph>. Als u de index van een besturingselement wijzigt, worden de indicesexen van de andere besturingselementen automatisch bijgewerkt. Aan de elementen waarop de focus niet kan worden geplaatst (Tabstop = Nee) wordt ook een waarde toegewezen. Deze besturingselementen worden tijdens het gebruik van de <emph>Tab</emph>-toets echter overgeslagen.
