The Dictionary service is similar to the built-in %PRODUCTNAME Basic <literal>Collection</literal> object, however with more features. For example, <literal>Collection</literal> objects do not support the retrieval of keys. Moreover, Dictionaries provide additional capabilities as replacing keys, testing if a specific key already exists and converting the Dictionary into an array of PropertyValues or a JSON string.
Ordboktenesta liknar på det innebygde %PRODUCTNAME Basic-objektet <literal>Collection</literal>, men har fleire funksjonar. Såleis har ikkje <literal>Collection</literal>-objekta støtte for henting av nøklar. I tillegg har ordbøker tilleggsfunksjonar som å byta ut nøklar, kontrollera om ein bestemt nøkkel finst frå før og konvertera ordboka til ei matrise med «PropertyValues» eller ein JSON-streng.
