General, concerning the term "temporary copy". -- IMHO, the term "temporary copy" is misleading: once made, the copy -- in principe -- will exist for ever, its content, though, reflects a temporary state of the document at a certain point of time. -- I do not have a suggestion for a better term.

@SteenRønnow: As far as I know, temporary copies are created inside LibreOffice in a folder that is deleted (with its contents) on exiting the application. Perhaps the right word is "snapshot copy".
