Getting Started

Here you can localize LibreOffice and its related projects.

The localization process is detailed on this wiki page (some less commonly needed info is available on this page instead). After reading it, here are the quick steps to begin:

  1. Register and activate an account on this server.
  2. Log in.
  3. Get the necessary permissions from the leads of your language project (contact the mailing list below if the language project does not exist or its lead is not specified or does not respond in a reasonable amount of time)
  4. If the information about your language on the wiki page linked above is missing or incorrect, please take some time to update it.
  5. Happy translating!

Note that the aforementioned wiki page does not really cover all aspects of LibreOffice localization. In fact, we have quite a few pages in the L10n category by now, so you might want to explore these as well.

If you have any further questions or comments, feel free to ask on the L10n mailing list. Click here to send a subscribe request, then check your inbox (and/or the spam folder) to proceed with your subscription.

Note: All contributions made to LibreOffice by You using Pootle are available under the terms of LGPLv3+ and MPL.
